The Art of Spaciousness in Business and Life

Are you ready to operate in ‘Einstein time’!?! (I’ll explain below)

Would you love to learn the art of spaciousness in your business and life?

Are you regularly overwhelmed with your endless to do list and got waaaaay too much on your plate?

Have you been operating from a place of lack with regards to time?

In this modern fast paced world, it is soooo easy to get sucked into the belief that we don’t have enough time.

Our minds are bombarded with messages of the scarcity of time.

Quick you’re running out of time for x, y, z… ‘they’ say.

Hurry hurry hurry or you’ll miss out… ‘they’ say.

We are rushing at an exhausting pace just to keep up with… what?

What are you rushing for?

PAUSE.  BREATHE.  SLOW DOWN FOR A SECOND.

That’s it… exhale.

Mr ‘Smarty Pants’ Einstein believed that time is a relative concept.  He discovered and presented through his life’s work, ‘The Theory of Relativity’, that time and space are not as fixed as we are led to believe.

So if time is not fixed… we can CHOOSE to live in an abundance of time.

Exhale again.

That feels better.

There is an abundance of time if you choose to believe it.  If not stress on.

Aligning with the truth of abundance doesn’t mean that we can use it as yet another excuse to stop following our inner guidance.

Aligning with the truth of abundance doesn’t mean that we should shirk all of our responsibilities and slow down our productivity.

Oh no no… on the contrary… aligning with the truth of abundance allows us to find some spaciousness amongst rapid and high productivity.

Aligning with the truth of abundance allows us to get into the powerful flow state where we are super productive and pumping out work with calmness and joy.

Here's an example of how to apply the art of spaciousness in business and life.

This week, I began work at 9am and had set aside 2 hours to get my priority admin type tasks complete before my 11am client.  I sat in meditation as I do to begin each working day when a little voice (aka intuition) said “you can fit in the food shopping too if you want because their’s little food in the fridge for lunch and the rest of your day is booked up”.

I trust this little voice more than anything… so I said… “how?”

This intuitive voice said… “ask that your mind is so super productive that it only takes you an hour to get all of your admin tasks done and then head to the shops in the next hour and return home in time for your client.”

“Ok let’s do it!”, I said.

I proceeded to drop straight into a super productive flow state and got everything done by 10am, smoothly, joyfully and effectively.

I sat back in my chair and took a few deep belly breaths to honour the work that I had completed and to be present to how amazing it all felt.  I felt spacious.

Then I jumped in my car and headed to the shops.  I did my weekly supermarket shop (which will soon be outsourced to a housekeeper) in 30 minutes.  I had my headphones on and was listening to music and dancing around the supermarket.

I got back and had time to put away the fridge items and left the rest on the bench to be packed away later.  Meanwhile my client text me saying she would be 5-10 minutes late to the call.

I sat back at my desk, closed my eyes, took a few deep breaths and was laughing on the inside about how I had managed to streeeetch time through the morning, pump out high level actions and remain calm and playful throughout.

NOTE – the above is an example where I added a task to my plate, which can sometimes trigger those who are sensitive to overwhelm… but more often my intuition guides me to remove tasks from my plate that are unrealistic, to ensure I feel spacious and enter a productive flow state by keeping it simple and powerful.  ALSO I too still have days, especially with two toddlers running around, where the elusive flow state is hard to find and the frantic pattern runs the show for a while.  It’s like a muscle to keep training.

You can begin right now by simply choosing to believe that….  say it with me…

I don’t have to be stressed out to create success.

I don’t have to rush frantically to get everything done.

I CAN get HUGE amounts done while feeling spacious. Time is an illusion and I dare you to get playful with it over the next week and see for yourself how you can allow time to playfully work for you, not against you.
